I disagree. While I'll admit this is/was more important for music CDs, sometimes one wants some packaging and actual physical medium. Sure you can burn your own CD/DVDs from your download, or be granted access to re-download a program but.. I guess I'm just old-fashioned in that way.

Seriously, the problem with downloads is the missed opportunity for cover art and cool things packaged with the game, like maps, user manuals, etc. Sure, you can put that stuff online, but it's not the same as all the fun stuff we used to get in game boxes.
