sleepy

computer telepathy

I have a quotes file on my hard drive, consisting of a large number of funny things that have been said in many years of chatting on the 'net. (I'll send it on request. It's scary and stuff. But really funny.)

One of my favorite quotes runs along the lines of:

"This is scary. I woke up at 3:29 AM, two minutes after my modem disconnected."

Well, I just had an even *more* insane experience.

I was sitting around, browsing/coding/chatting, and suddenly thought, "Hey, I haven't checked my Sparkmatch account in a real long time! Like, since before I left college! It must've been at least four months! I wonder if anyone's sent anything."

So I go to visit.

Someone sent me a message ONE HOUR before I checked. And no other messages.

ONE

HOUR.

Out of about six months, now that I think about it.

That's just plain spooky.

And she lives in Elyria ^^ Now, I'll be the first to admit that the chance of it being a perfect wonderful relationship and everyone being ecstatic and all is round about nil.

Then again, so's the chance of accidentally checking an email system one hour after someone sends you the first message in six months.

Murphy's being weird today.
