"Windows is shutting down program: should not see me"

*snicker* I think the driver installation didn't clean itself up quite quickly enough. :P

(the program shut down on its own half a second later.)

So I've got a lot of entries to write. But most of them can wait.

I've also got a lot of entries to read. Unfortunately, waiting on these is a bad idea.

I'm also quite quite angry with a large number of people.

Luckily, there's a solution to the latter two, and it'll make the first problem much easier.

So here's the deal. A lot of people make entries saying "leave me a message if you want to stay on my friends list!". I find these irritating because it's one of those "affirm my existence!" deals. This is not one of those. I'd like you to leave me a message if you want to stay friends with me. There's a lot more I could write here. I won't. Some of you don't even need to leave a message, it's pretty clear that you do. However, some of you may think it is clear, while in reality you have had your head shoved under the sand hoping that everything will work out. News flash: not everything works out.

So leave me a message here.

I'll be removing a good number of people from my list in a few days - people I haven't really talked to in a long time, people who were never really friends. For the most part it's people that I don't think will really mind (and it's people whose journals I skimmed anyway.) If you'd mind, lemme know. Generally, anyone who's willing to read my incoherent ramblings deserves to have theirs read by me (well, maybe not *deserves* - nobody's writing is *that* bad), but at this point, I'm perfectly willing to make exceptions for people I don't like.

P.S. Mom, why is your watch set to go off at 1:45 in the morning?

w00t, finally found a guide to alcohol that, for the large part, has the same philosophy as I do!

Philosophy goes as follows:

Alcohol can be tasty.
Being drunk kinda sucks.
Being really really drunk really sucks, unless it's because all your alcohol is really really tasty, in which case it's tolerable.
Spending $10 on drinks that taste bad is stupid. Spending $150 on drinks that taste good is expensive, but can be a good idea. Spending $0 on nothing is much cheaper, but doesn't involve getting anything to drink. One of the latter two is recommended.

See k5, if you're interested. I have the feeling I'm going to end up wasting a noticable amount of money over my lifetime sampling some of these :P

ridley + castlevania + guardiaglom + that annoying boss in the damage-reversed castle in FF9 = beginning sequence of a GBA game that makes Super Metroid look anemic and uninteresting

. . . this has potential.

The only problem is that I don't think Nintendo allows profanity - when the Ethershade in the miltech research room vanishes with the computer array (after the first runthrough of the reactor core), the main character really has to yell "What the hell is going on here?"

Only he won't be able to.

Which is a pity.
