(no subject)

Current location: Batavia. (It's near Buffalo.) My odometer reads 470 or so, which is from the gas station I stopped at before leaving New York, and includes about an hour and a half of wandering around in north New Jersey looking for an AAA. (Is that the turn? Maybe that's the turn. I should stop somewhere and check my map. *proceeds to spend 15 minutes looking for a place to stop* *repeat, several times*)

Problems I've had include, but are not limited to, one ignition coil failure, one incident of keys-locked-in-car, uncounted incidents of getting-lost, one person almost hitting me on the freeway (note to morons: if you go past your turn, you've gone past it. Do NOT come to a complete stop on a busy freeway and make a right-angle turn to get back into it.), and a truly unbelievable amount of heat.

At least it's cool here.

And raining.

Plans for tomorrow: visit Buffalo, order buffalo wings, try to find a 1980 Volvo 240 distributor and fuel injector ring set, head to Oberlin. With luck I can get there tomorrow . . . at least, if I don't waste too much time in Buffalo, I should be able to.

Btw, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it to Pendle Hill. Sorry. It's almost exactly in the worst possible place it could be - like, four hours out of my way - one-way - no matter how I get there.
