Last time, for example, a vending machine ate a dime, causing me to have to go *back* to my room to get *another* dime to buy a snack. Later on that day, however, I won $5,000 at a Topcoder round.
Today, I accidentally put a $10 bill in the bus because I wasn't watching and somehow my wallet organization scheme got screwed up.
On the other hand, I also got a $15k/yr raise.
So overall I'm not doing too badly.
Although my motherboard *is* fried, it seems. Which sucks. I'm buying a new power supply this time - *and* a UPS :P The only thing I can think of to cause frequent motherboard deaths would be a faulty power input.
And if it's not the power supply, well, I'll replace stuff until I find out what it *is*, dagnabbit. It's not like I really have a choice >_
