HYDROGEN IS NOT AN ENERGY GENERATION TECHNOLOGY. IT IS AN ENERGY STORAGE TECHNOLOGY. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HYDROGEN POWER PLANT.
(Cue seventeen smartass comments saying "but fusion works with hydrogen, so maybe they meant fusion nyuk nyuk!" no they didn't, and we both know it, they're buying into the whole "hydrogen power" thing without actually understanding it.)
(Of course, they also have nuclear power plants that melt down, no matter what your technology level is. So I suppose we can't ask for everything.)
