The airport security, which is *finally* being relaxed a bit - you might be able to bring small knives on planes now. Of course, you *still* might be on a do-not-fly list - and by "you", I mean "someone with the same name as you". Or maybe someone with a different name, that's just close enough. Even if you're one year old.
Or getting your bags randomly searched when you do something suspicious like, oh, use the subway.
Mandatory national ID cards are working their way through the legislation. The FBI wants to tell you precisely what software you're allowed to use.
And our faithful president is threatening to use his veto powers for the first time, on the subject of torture. He's not against it - he's for it.
All of this, of course, in the name of terrorism. America's just plain gotten crazy.
(For some reason I haven't heard anything about restricting gun ownership, which amuses me.)
